With the national waistline expanding, a flourishing cottage industry has sprung up as designers race to produce size-appropriate clothing for men.

A company called “George at Asda” has developed the hilariously named “mansie” a slimming suit for men that promises to tame your man boobs.

And check out this article in the Wall Street Journal about the pleat. Of course it makes perfect sense that as men become chubbier, designers would respond with a more charitably cut pant.

The only logical outcome of this trend is the resurgent zuba, the super-sized “eating pants” beloved by couch potatoes everywhere.
