CrossFit Pants

Yesterday at our trainers’ meeting the subject of CrossFit pants came up. Some enterprising smarty should design a pair of pants with a waist-to-thigh ratio more favorable for CrossFitters. Put it on Kickstarter! I’ll invest, and I think quite a few other CrossFitters would too.

Because over time, CrossFitters tend to get leaner and harder, which is the opposite of the squishy archetypal physique most designers have in mind. So your pants become way too big for your waist but too tight in the thighs. I have some jeans like this. You could fit a surfboard in the waist band, but they still stay up, because of the friction with my thighs.

It’s annoying, but if the only downside to fitness is that all jeans turn into “skinny jeans”, I can live with that. And in a few years we’ll all be wearing bespoke jeans hot from the 3d printing press anyway!
