Long and strong!

Our strength progression follows a four week cycle with three weeks of work and one week to deload. Deloading is very important; you have to give your nervous system a chance to repair itself after the hammering you take during the preceding three weeks. During our deload week you can’t pick up anything heavy and the workouts tend to be longer. Last week we deloaded and several clients said how much fun the workouts were.

Generally speaking “fun” is not a term I hear used to describe my workouts but I get what people are saying. You definitely don’t want to run 2400 meters and do 15 rounds of Cindy every day but every once in a while a workout like that feels great. As they say variety is the spice of life.

This week we’re starting a new strength cycle with designated strength days on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On our non-strength days we’re going to rock it with some very challenging cardio. If you want to sweat we’ve got what you need. Be down!
