Pasta is made from refined flour which means it’s not a part of the paleo nutrition plan. So what are you supposed to with all of those great pasta recipes? Who doesn’t love spaghetti and meatballs?
Fortunately, there is a great substitution. It’s called spaghetti squash. This funny looking squash has very low glycemic load with essentially no inflammatory side effect. Sweet!
Cooking spaghetti squash is simple. You just cut it in half and bake it. Then you pull the flesh apart with a fork. It will pull apart into noodle-like strands that you use wherever you would use spaghetti noodles.
