Gluten Free Chobani Yogurt

Gluten Free Yogurt From Chobani

Gluten Free Yogurt From Chobani

Well Day 3 of my week without gluten was kind of strange. I went to a funeral and at the reception I ate a bunch of fruit and peeled the salmon off a lot of finger sandwiches. It’s hard to fill up that way. I don’t recommend it.

Due to lack of preparation on my part I didn’t have any food with me so I just went hungry for most of the day.  I had access to some granola bars from my wife’s purse but I refused them.  I haven’t been able to figure out a straight answer about whether oats are really gluten free.  Apparently the risk of gluten contamination is pretty high in most commercially available oats.

Anyhoo, before I went to the funeral I had a cup of Chobani yogurt which is a legit gluten-free option.  Yogurt is dairy which is not on the paleo list, but I eat Chobani sometimes. I must admit that sometimes my jaw gets tired from chewing 16 ounces of meat every day.  Yogurt is much easier on the old mandibles.

Chobani is essentially free protein.  The vanilla flavor has 0 fat and 16 grams of protein which is pretty good.  Unfortunately Chobani contains sugar which is not good, so you shouldn’t eat too much of it.  As you might expect, the delicious flavors with fruit and other goodies have more carbs and sugar.  I eat the vanilla kind because flavor is for weaklings.
